{"id":239,"date":"2020-06-25T20:20:23","date_gmt":"2020-06-25T20:20:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/networktoendhunger.org\/site\/?p=239"},"modified":"2023-09-09T20:28:05","modified_gmt":"2023-09-09T20:28:05","slug":"snap-work-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/networktoendhunger.org\/site\/snap-work-team\/","title":{"rendered":"SNAP Work Team"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Purpose\/Mission Statement:<\/strong>&nbsp;The SNAP Work Team is working with the Academy of Nutrition and&nbsp;Dietetics on part two of our research study to collect data on affordability, variety, and quality of SNAP approved foods at local retailers in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Goal(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;1) Complete a comprehensive data analysis on the availability, affordability, and healthfulness of food in the SNAP retail environment, to include an interactive map. 2) Create a suggested action plan to mitigate areas with low affordability, accessibility, and healthfulness scores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Activities:<\/strong>&nbsp;Surveying SNAP retailers in tri-county area, recruiting volunteers to help survey, analyze data, complete write up to submit for publication and presentation.
