Dear Members and Friends,
Meals On Wheels for Kids (MOW4Kids) launched in March 2020 as a critical COVID-19 response and the program consistently served its community ever since. Now, the Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger is looking to the year ahead and transitioning back to its pre-pandemic strategic plan. This includes returning to the core mission of MOW4Kids which is to serve children and their families with home-delivered meals during out of school time (summer breaks and holidays). At this time, TBNEH has transitioned out of providing direct services through the MOW4Kids, as well as Meals On Wheels St. Petersburg (MOWSP). The Network will continue to focus on member initiatives.
I would like to thank our incredible partners and volunteers for contributing so much MOW4Kids and MOWSP over the past 2+ years. You, and our community, made it possible to deliver weekly meals to food insecure households, especially children, their families, and seniors, during a time which was made particularly challenging by the pandemic. Together, we delivered groceries and meals to households faced with transportation barriers or health concerns that left them largely homebound. Thank you for serving our community with us and supporting these programs.
We hope to resume MOW4Kids this coming summer and look forward to serving the community with your support.
With gratitude,
Caitlyn Peacock
Executive Director
